Like most movie theaters today, their ticket prices are outrageous but they do have decent senior prices. The food selection inside is extensive. Everything from popcorn two hot dogs to nachos etc.
The seating is very comfortable and the chairs are wide. They also provide captioning glasses and or headphones for the hearing impaired. I dont give them a high mark because of the exorbitant prices for tickets and food.
If you have a big screen TV and home theater system wait for the DVD to come out and buy it! You will probably save $30 over what two people would cost in the theater. The wide reopening was pushed back to May 7, with all but thirteen open by May 28. Cineworld also announced that it has reached an agreement with Warner Bros. Pictures that would see the studio discontinue their same-day HBO Max and theatrical release model in 2022 in favor of a 45-day theatrical exclusivity window. On June 19, 2021, Regal Cinemas acquired the lease of the Arclight Cinemas at the Sherman Oaks Galleria.
Regal also announced plans to remodel the cinema putting in $10M added Regal RPX, ScreenX, & 4DX. The theater reopened in July 2021 as part of the cinema chain. What are the matinee show times? General admission for all adult tickets purchased for performances during matinee hours. The matinee hours may vary by theatre location based on market or territory.
Visit your local theatre the find out details on matinee hours. Not all Regal Entertainment Group locations offer a bargain matinee price discount. I guess in 2018 all these corporations care about is filling their pockets. They will soon go out of business because of greed and times are unfortunately changing where people would rather stay home in the clean comfort of their own home and watch a movie.
I took my child to see a movie with my wife and I and they refused to let us in because of their policy about children. Apparently you cant take a child to see a certain rated movies even with adult supervision because they were worried she would distract other movie goers. We have taken her to countless other movie theatres with no problem at all and she doesnt act up. We will not be wasting our time coming back to this screwed up movie theater. We will go where our money is appreciated and where we are respected as customers.
That's how I feel about anything behind the snack bar. I mean really, the prices are not even double the cost it's so much higher it makes me feel like your robbing me blind, I know it, you guys know it but yet they just keep getting higher. Believe me when I tell you there's many people going to pay for the movies but can't afford to drink water during them. Your prices hurt people and it's pathetic on your part. Don't even care about any excuses, there is no excuse to sell a drink or a bag of popcorn for over 5.00 for a large.
Your STILL making more than 3 times what it's worth. We should all stop going , just like not watching NFL, you have nothing if you don't have us, at least treat us and our money with some respect. Since the 2002 formation of REG, it has acquired several smaller chains.
It took over the US assets of Hoyts Cinemas in March 2003 and announced the acquisition of San Ramon, California–based Signature Theatres in April 2004. Unlike the merger with UA and Edwards, Regal has rebranded all of these theatres as Regal Cinemas. In April 2005, Eastern Federal, which was a theatre company in the Southeastern United States, was acquired by Regal.
In February 2013, Regal agreed to purchase Hollywood Theaters, a nationwide chain of 46 theaters that operated from Portland, Oregon. The sale was closed on April 1, 2013. In May 2017 Regal purchased the $200 million company Warren Theaters based in Wichita, Kansas. The sale included all Warren Theater locations in Wichita KS as well as those in Moore and Broken Arrow OK. The theaters will continue operation under the Warren name. Best theater in our area -- seats are pretty comfortable and online or kiosk ticket purchasing make waiting in lines a non-issue.
When I ran into a ticketing issue recently, the customer service was excellent, and the staff helped me resolve the issue easily! Somewhat recently upgraded seating with all theaters being stadium style make the movie experience enjoyable. Missed out on 4800 reward points because staff member forgot to ask for it.
We went to the 515 showing...and wow! Most amazing movie theater experience ever! Us 3 had a IMAX 3D theater to ourselves!
But on the other hand it was sad, because it was proof that going to see a movie in the theater is a pastime. Maybe if it didnt cost $70 for a adult and 2 kids to see a movie, more people would go. A large cinema that accommodates many films, including some non-Hollywood films. All theaters have stadium seating with comfortable seats and cup holders.
Regal Rewards is a really awesome program/app that allows you to accumulate points at a more rapid rate the more you use it. My wife and I can get a free popcorn or drink basically every other visit, it seems like. They have kiosks for those who want to skip the line. There are also some arcade games for the kids in the lobby if that is of interest. The cinema loses one star because one cannot get Regal points by using the kiosk, so you have to wait in line. Also because the price of concessions nearly amount to highway robbery.
I will miss this theater when we move. Loved the movie, but do not like the fact that we have to choose our seats when we buy our tickets. We chose our seats and before we finished paying for our tickets someone else took the seats we picked. Then we had to go to customer service. We found this a big annoyance and questioned our choice of theaters.
They have done some renovations recently that have made it a lot nicer than it was a few years ago. They re-did some of the theaters along with new seats. However, I dont like how some of the seats recline and some of the theaters the seats do not. Its definitely the nicest theater around though.
If you think its bad go see a movie in Gainesville. The theaters in Gainesville are far worse. My only complaint is the "IMAX" is what I call a "Lie-Max". While the theater does have much improved sound and picture over the regular theaters, it is not a true IMAX. If you want a true IMAX go down to Regal Orlando on I-Drive.
Their screen is probably three to four times the size of the "IMAX" in Ocala and is a true IMAX. Having said that, I think this theater is still pretty good compared to whats around and I enjoy seeing movies there. Edwards Theatres was a family-owned chain in California, started in 1930 by William James Edwards Jr. It became one of California's best-known and most popular theater chains, and by Edwards' death in 1997, operated about 90 locations with 560 screens. Edwards Theatres had its headquarters in Newport Beach, California.
James Edwards III, became president and announced an ambitious expansion plan that would nearly double the company's screen count. The expansion plan gave Edwards a crushing debt load, and in 2000 it filed for bankruptcy. Been coming here since I was a kid. Always an enjoyable time seeing whatever is out. Donate blood to save three lives and for free movie tickets.
And I'm loving the semi healthy options popping up. Always has the latest films in stock in addition to a couple indie films every now and again, great location for families looking to have a night out . I recommend getting a Regal Crown Club membership asap if you plan on visiting this location often, free movie tickets, popcorn, and drinks you just cant beat it. The prices tend to be a bit higher here for tickets and food, however snack selection is rather vast. Regal Entertainment Group completed its acquisition of Consolidated Theatres on May 1, 2008. In the transaction, Regal acquired Consolidated's 28 theaters and 400 screens for $210 million.
Consolidated's concentrations of theatres in the Mid-Atlantic states of Maryland, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia and North and South Carolina overlapped in some places with Regal's. As of a condition of approval of the merger, the United States Department of Justice required that Regal divest itself of several theaters in areas where it would have a monopoly. Regal agreed to sell off four theaters in the Asheville, Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina markets, but a large number of theaters still remains in all three markets. When all three chains went into bankruptcy, investor Philip Anschutz bought substantial investments in all three companies, becoming majority owner. In 2002, Anschutz consolidated his three theatre holdings under a new parent company, Regal Entertainment Group.
The Edwards corporate offices were closed. Regal Cinemas is an American movie theater chain headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee. A division of Cineworld, Regal operates the second-largest theater circuit in the United States, with over 7,200 screens in 549 theaters as of October 2019.
The three main theatre brands operated by Regal Entertainment Group are Regal Cinemas, Edwards Theatres, and United Artists Theatres. I love this theatre even though Its a little more on the pricey side. I use to come here a lot when I didnt use to have a vehicle or a drivers license yet. So it was the closest thing to me.
It was my regular hangouts when I had spare time on my hands. The main thing that I like about this theatre is that they play a lot of movies. Almost every movie that you see on commercials they play it. The concession stands sells just about any snack that you could want. Its also a very nice theatre they also have arcades and other things to play with in the lobby.
Just overall its a nice experience. Share the latest blockbuster movie with your group. Available only for regularly scheduled public showtimes.
Discounts apply for purchases over 20 tickets. FLORIDA — Regal Cinemas will close its 543 theaters in the United States Thursday due to continued revenue losses from the coronavirus pandemic. The chain has nearly 50 locations in Florida. IMAX screen was very nice, though not as big as others I've seen.
Their bathroom was quite disgusting with a broken lock for a stall door. This was a busy Star Wars opening weekend, but that's not a great excuse. I use a wheelchair, and there were some significant lapses in accessibility. The lock to the handicapped stall in the men's bathroom was broken, and the other bathroom was roped off.
Accessible seating is very limited, so if you have more than one friend with you, then you can forget about sitting next to them. Accessible parking, however, was adequate and conveniently located. On October 5, 2020, Cineworld announced it would close most Regal, and all Cineworld, and Picturehouse Cinemas locations in the US, UK, and Ireland indefinitely, beginning October 8.
In June 2011, after posting a loss for the first quarter, Regal began downsizing its theater employees by removing managers from projection and replacing them with lower paid floor staff. This move allowed Regal to lay off part-time managers across the country and forcibly demote many full-time managers to part-time. As theaters converted to all digital automated screens, Regal also removed projectionists altogether. This focus on "cost control" helped the company post better than expected profits for the 3rd quarter of that year. In April 2010, Regal launched Regal Premium Experience , an upgraded theater format.
There are reclining leather seats with headrests. Both digital 2D and RealD 3D films can be screened. As of January 2016, there are 87 operating RPX locations. As Regal consolidated the three chains, CineMedia began work on a new digital distribution system to provide a new "preshow," replacing the slides and film advertisements with digital content.
